Seems funny you starting a restoration project now (May) as here in the UK we are all flat out finishing our restoration projects ready for showing.. If there is anything you might need for yours, just ask me as bits for Saphs arnt too bad at the moment, anything that isnt too big I may be able to bring with me in February....

ollie i think we may have to take over the control/ownership of the forums
if this keeps up lol.

hamerite, hopefully the saph is goin before you get over here, problem is, project can only go as fast as the funds can come in lol.

I'd be joining in with a post or two too but i've got nothing new to report. I haven't even driven mine since the track day at Easter. I could do with sourcing a new ABS wheel speed sensor for the right front as i have developed a flat spot on that tyre and the light is on.. Apart from that all is well.

Hey Keith, how hard would it be for you to turn up a fuel rail identical to the one that Aaron has posted in this thread mate?.
Provided Aaron lent me the fuel rail so you could copy it :P

lol ollie, i dont think it would be that hard at all to fab one up, providing you have a mill, this one was done on a cnc mill so fabrication times are
next to nothing, i would imaging that there would be quite a few hours of
machining with a conventional mill and would also be extreamely boring for the person making it. mine cost me 120 GBP inc P&P which would proberly be cheaper then paying a tradesman without a cnc to do it by hand.

the only reason i got it was because im replacing the old fuel lines with
s/s braid from the fuel pump all the way to the fuel rail, it also requires
earls fittings to be connected to the braid so ya gotta take that extra cost into account to.

still waiting for the return of my RPlabs modifyed ecu from germany,
also going to be doing another buy from woodford garage in the UK soon
if somebody wants to join in, might make the freight etc abit cheaper for
all partys.

ollie, any chance ya can let us in on what ya paid for your koni struts and springs etc??? i need to get new front struts an rear shockers,
also upon pulling the front an rear subframes out i discoverd the car is running eibach springs, does anyone know if they would fit into the koni
struts???

mate im telling ya if i knew it was going to cost me this much already i wouldnt have botherd lol. paying for the parts i have no problem with,
but the cost of freight out of the UK is absolutely rediculous. even if ya try
to source parts in new zealand for cosworths, people want a arm an a leg for them. think this is the last euro car i do up, expence is just far to great.
inless i can get hold of a twin cam turbo lancia delta intergrale 8)

Hey there Ollie. A few basic measurements and we would be away laughing. You could probably use a standard one to work out the important bits Like the pitching of the injectors etc. Machine time is a bit of an issue at the moment though, we're barely making deadlines on our customers tooling let alone squeezing homers in. I'll let you know when we get quiet again. If you can get your hands on a standard one in the meantime I'm sure i could whip up a model in Pro E for you. :)

hehe a Lancia, the only car guaranteed to break more and cost more to fix than a cossie. How silly are you going with your resto? I went a smidge overboard and reconditioned everything! at the same time. re-powdercoated suspension etc....

yea mate everythings getting sandblasted an powdercoated to look like new :) abosolutly nothing is being left untouched even the interior
is getting ripped out, new head linings, recover the std recaros(leather),
was thinking bout alloy fuel tank but well see bout that later on, so i would say is that silly enough lol??? the delta intergrale would be my most favourite car below the cossies lol, ive seen a few pretty tricked up ones
here an there an man do they sound wicked when the engines been modded especialy if they have antilag(bang, bang) theres a few vids of a redy orange one on youtube its insane, i really want one now lol haha.

Wouldn't mind an Intergrale myself, but I think the Cossie has got to be the best for buck for many a mile. I like the Old quattro's as well with that 5 cylinder snarl. Sounds like Keithy and I got somethings in common, like we both got cripled cosworths. My one hasnt turned a wheel since the track day aswell. Short drive from the track to Drury (that's were it live's, at ma's), park car outside garage, go in for a beer, come out 20 min later, no start...push car in garage and forget about it, the lazy bastard I am. No spark, so my guess is it's the coil. Starting to miss it now and we got a club run on this Sunday, so better pull finger!
