20 October – Katikati lunch and workshop tours
Today our Bay of Plenty members hosted us in Katikati organized by Brent Hills.
We had the privilege of seeing Nick and Chris Fleggs collections. We meet at their workshop with a look around and then moved on to an amazing collection of Army vehicles, including not one but two helicopters. Check out the photos, every big and little boys dreams.
Then 24 of us went to the Talisman Hotel, catching up with everyone over a great lunch, was so enjoyable. We highly recommend if you are going through Katikati stop for lunch.
Then on to the second part of our visit to Nick and Chris’s family farm to another large garage full of cars to see their car collection, included in the collection was a Cortina and 3 Escorts, lots of talking by the members, and enjoying the weather and the farm atmosphere including the animals, the whole atmosphere was terrific.
A huge thank you to the Flegg family for hosting the club, and Brent Hills. Everyone commented it was a great event.
Look forward to catching up with everyone again at the Christmas event 1st December, don’t forget to mark it in your calendar.
